Yianna Bouyioukou

Yianna Bouyioukou is from Athens, Greece. She earned her Bachelor of Architecture from Southern California Institute of Architecture (SCI-Arc) and her Master of Architecture degree from University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA), on a full scholarship. 

With a professional background of 20 years, she has received numerous Design Awards from the AIA, Los Angeles for a diverse range of projects, including the Embassy of the Czech Republic in Washington DC; the European School Complex in Crete; the Vasilitsa House on the mountain of Pindos in Greece; and the Mozambique Preschool. She studied and worked for several years in Los Angeles under Barton Myers, where she led numerous high-profile residential projects across the US, among them the Montecito Residence, which was acclaimed for its innovative design in engineering and architecture with structural steel.

In 2012, she was recognized with the Europe 40 Under 40 Award by the European Centre for Architecture, Art, and Urban Studies. Her experience working in both the US and Greece allows her to bridge and exchange innovative ideas across continents, integrating multicultural perspectives into her work.
